Hi, my name is Tegan Burns. I currently live in San Leandro, California and I'm a father to my 6 y/o son Daniel Burns. Most of my work sits at the intersection of software, automation, and operations.
I've been interested in technology since I was young, and I still like learning by doing: figuring out how systems work, improving messy processes, and building tools that make work move faster and more cleanly. I'm especially interested in automation and machine learning when they solve real problems.
Outside of work, I spend time with my son and try to stay close to the physical world too: skydiving, traveling, hiking, and getting out around the Bay Area whenever I can.
I also read a lot and keep a running list of books, ideas, and projects worth coming back to.
